Shayneh
Vista Vineyards’ Silver Medal Chardonnay
is a unique gathering of select grapes from mature, low-yield
vines (most between 15 to 20 years-old). These well-tended
vines and low cluster grapes gave way to an award winning
Chardonnay that launched Shayneh Vista’s reputation
as a leading private estate vintner.
Sought after by leading
Sonoma wineries, these Chardonnay grapes were grown and maintained
by Shayneh Vista and after much soul searching, reserved
for Shayneh Vista’s own
production. The decision to keep these grapes in Shayneh
Vista was prescient: recently, this Silver Medal Chardonnay
brought $135 from a San Francisco wine collector.
Like Sonoma’s
Town Square, the site of the California rebellion and the
first raising of the California Bear Flag, Shayneh Vista
Vineyards’ Silver Medal Chardonnay
is proud of its Sonoma Valley heritage and its Shayneh
